Find me on Facebook Find me on Linked-In Follow me on Twitter About Me People are often surprised to hear that I am not a programmer. When I explain to people that I make games and web applications, they automatically assume that I am some sort of software engineer, and this could not be further from reality. I am very much a big picture person. The last 10 years have proven that both application and game creation are monumental tasks, and the success of these ventures require someone to take a visionary and operational lead for each product or project. This is essentially what I do. I am a creative thinker that comes up with concepts and general design specifications. I communicate my ideas to engineers and artists, and delegate the minutia of all of the individual tasks to them. In practice, I am essentially a Producer and a Director. I am a Producer because from a business perspective I gather all of the resources needed for the project I am working on, be it monetary or talent. Once the resources are gathered, I lead the team from start to completion to deliver the ultimate vision and insure profitability. I am a Director because I manage the general creative aspect of each project I am involved with. For example, Peter Jackson was the Director of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, yet he did not act, design the costumes, operate the cameras or handle any of the specific tasks. He managed each team from a creative perspective to insure the grand vision was achieved. With each of the items in the portfolio section of this site, I was essentially the “Producer” and the “Director”. Some of the items were done under one of my companies (Liberated or Resistor), both of which I was the founder and CEO, while others were done independently.
